Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. After her time living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
